So two tearjerker songs are mashing themselves up in my head. I heard "Veronica" last night on the radio coming home; it was the last song I heard before coming in and (eventually) zonking out. The version of "My Grandfather's Clock" that plays in my head is less Johnny Cash and more heard-it-on-NPR-in-the-80s, and therefore mashes into "Veronica" better than the more aggressive and choppy Johnny Cash style.
